Off Grid and Hybrid Solutions

In off-grid, electricity generated by solar energy can be used to run any household appliances, commercial and industrial machineries. Off-grid solar electricity is for residential or industries that do not have access to grid electricity or faces frequent grid power failure which leads to shutdown of solar (renewable energy) systems or having higher DG set consumption’s – i.e. a house, office, or an industry cannot be or chooses not to be supplied electricity from a power company.  These systems offer complete autonomy and independence from the national grid, DG sets and power companies, meaning you never have an electricity bill. This technology is limited to export excess electricity to grid, i.e. solar power which is generated in a day time one can use it directly to run the electrical loads and store extra power to the battery in case of excess generation after usage of electrical loads but cannot fees excess power to grid. Which cause loss of excess power and stops extra earning from utility supplier.

In Hybrid solar (renewable energy) systems, the minimum two renewable system is configured to supply power to the load along with battery backup system. In solar hybrid system context, the battery is supplied with system depends upon the backup designed. The off grid and hybrid systems works even in absence of grid support and last long as per battery backup designed at the time of project discussion. The only difference in off grid and hybrid system is the earlier system fails to export excess power to grid by design while hybrid does the same. The Hybrid system give additional benefits of using exported units to the grid in the night time or in cloudy season which gives better returns over off grid system.
